This summer Unity has welcomed another major milestone with the opening of our very own Starbucks drive-thru.
The newly opened coffee outlet, located within Unity Connect alongside the recently launched McDonald’s restaurant, is now serving customers and providing a convenient amenity stop for employees, visitors, commuters and local residents.
The Starbucks drive-thru has created more than 15 jobs and features dedicated electric vehicle charging facilities operated by E.ON Drive, further strengthening Unity’s commitment to supporting modern, sustainable infrastructure.
The opening marks the latest chapter in the evolution of Unity, one of Yorkshire’s largest regeneration projects. Spanning more than 618 acres, the development is being delivered by Waystone Hargreaves Land LLP and will ultimately provide over 3,000 new homes, significant industrial space, community facilities and a new local centre.
Andrew Johnson, Director at Waystone Hargreaves Land LLP, said: “The opening of Starbucks is another significant achievement for Unity and further demonstrates both its attractiveness to a range of commercial occupiers and the pace at which the development continues to evolve. Following the successful launch of McDonald’s, we are delighted to welcome another globally recognised brand to the scheme.
“Starbucks will be a valuable amenity for the growing number of people working in and around Unity, while also serving local communities across Hatfield, Stainforth and Dunscroft. It is another important step in creating a vibrant, self-sustaining destination.”
The Starbucks drive-thru was developed by Pequod Doncaster Ltd, part of the Pequod Group, a specialist in roadside, drive-thru and electric vehicle infrastructure developments.
The opening of Starbucks follows significant investment across the site by Waystone Hargreaves Land LLP and signals continued momentum as further development comes forward in 2026 and beyond.
