Link road update

Work is continuing to progress on the new link road ‘Unity Gate’, which will provide a new 2.9 kilometre (1.8 mile) route from Junction 5 of the M18 motorway (where the M180 joins the M18) to the existing residential development in Stainforth (at Waggons Way next to the former Hatfield Colliery site).

In addition, the new road will link to Hatfield (via Bootham Lane) to the south, thereby improving access to the motorway network for the residents of local communities.

The road, which is being constructed by Balfour Beatty and funded by Sheffield City Region, Doncaster Council, Waystone and Hargreaves Land, is due for completion by the end of 2020.
