New Site Manager Appointed at Unity

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Simpson as Site Manager for Unity.

Andrew has over 25 years of civil engineering experience in highways, structures and infrastructure.

The start of Andrew’s career was spent with Kvearner Construction (now Skanska) on large national infrastructure projects before joining Mowlem Plc within the Yorkshire region.

Commenting on his new position, Andrew said: “Unity is an ambitious project with many varied and challenging aspects which will ensure no two days will be the same for many years to come. I am delighted to come on board as Site Manager and look forward to working with all of the Unity project team from Waystone and Hargreaves Land and the many major contractors helping to deliver the scheme.”

Andrew is currently responsible for the day-to-day management of the Unity connect primary estate road on behalf of Waystone Hargreaves Land LLP working directly below the Unity Project Manager, David Bend. The new 750m estate road will join the Unity Connect zone to Unity Way, the new link road between Junction 5 of the M18 and Waggons Way, next to the former Hatfield Colliery. Launched in December, Unity Way was a partnership effort led by Doncaster Council and supported by the Sheffield City Region, Waystone Hargreaves Land LLP and Homes England.
